Can the Tampa Bay Vipers finally get a W

Can the Tampa Bay Vipers finally get a win this week?
By: Heston Curry

Before the season, the Tampa Bay Vipers had such high expectations, high hopes, and perhaps the most talented roster in the XFL.  After 3 games the Vipers sit at 0-3, last place in the XFL and have not lived anywhere close to what people thought they would be.  This week however, the Vipers play the DC Defenders, who before last week looked like the best team in the XFL.  While the Defenders seem like the team that will probably Tampa Bay still has their share of advantages.  They are playing at home for the second time this season and the defenders are entering the game coming off of a blowout loss.  Game time is Sunday at 7:00 pm.  Can the Vipers finally get a win and fix their season for the better.  Please say your opinion in the comments at the bottom of this blog.

Why I disagree with the NIL rule

As a lot of people know, the NCAA recently passed a rule stating that players will be allowed to profit off their name and likeliness.  To most people, this is a good thing, a big deal, finally NCAA athletes will be able to profit off of their names and make extra money for college things like that.  Me, as someone who was a high school athlete and has been a college football fan my whole life, as someone going to college,  I think this is wrong.  To me, selling your name and letting athletes make money.  In a lot of ways, I think it ruins the sport, because after all, college sports are not about the money and glory things like that.  Thats what pro sports are supposed to do.  College sports are supposed to be about passion, not about pay, or having a job, things like that.  In my opinion, college athletes are paid in scholarships and college aid, and how players do in and on the field to earn that money.  With the NIL ruling, college...

MLB talks about possible solution to have a season

Major League Baseball might give use something to watch after all By: Heston Curry 4/8/2020 After recent talks, major league baseball officials have had talks on a possible solution accepted by high ranking health officials to play at least part of the season. Major League Baseball has come up with a possible solution to play at least part of the major league baseball season in a undisclosed stadiums without fans in Arizona.  The season if it does happen will be a shorter season with possibly a 14 team expanded playoff . While there is still plenty of uncertainty on how this solution will play out, there is still hope that this could be the first step to establishing at least some sort of normalcy in these times and most importantly, give me at least something to write about for the first time in weeks. Now back on topic, the solution is not quite 100 percent yet, but how it would work is all major league baseball teams will travel to Arizona t...

The no call: A deep rewind

The no call, a little more than a year later... Heston Curry   4/14/20 Back in 2019, at the Marcedes-Benz superdome, we saw one of the worst no calls personally I have ever seen.  A uncalled pass interference call that would have given the Saints the ball at the 5 yard line, a new set of downs and with the Rams only having one timeout left, the Saints would have been able to run out the clock before scoring and leaving the Rams possibly only enough time for maybe a hail mary.  Even to this day I am pretty sure we all wonder to this day, what if the refs did call pass interference?  Well here is a full timeline from the NFC title game to the super bowl based on my opinion and possible prediction starting from that call to how I think it would have affected the super bowl. We will at first start with the penalty, the Rams are charged with the penalty and the Saints move up 10 yards because of the penalty getting the ball at the 3 yard line with more than ...
